Greg Colson (b. 1956 in Seattle, Washington) grew up in Bakersfield, California and lives and works in Los Angeles. He earned a BA from California State University, Bakersfield and an MFA from Claremont Graduate University. Colson’s works are held in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, D.C.; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; the Thomas Ammann Collection, Zurich; the Panza Collection, Varese, Italy; the Rosenkranz Collection, Berlin; and Moderna Museet, Stockholm. His work has been the subject of solo exhibitions internationally at Sperone Westwater, New York; Konrad Fischer Galerie, Dusseldorf; Cardi Gallery, Milan; Galleria Gian Enzo Sperone, Rome; William Griffin Gallery, Los Angeles; Baldwin Gallery, Aspen; Thomas Park Gallery, Seoul; Krannert Art Museum, Urbana-Champaign; Kunsthalle Lophem, Bruges; and the Lannan Museum, Lake Worth.
