Susan Derges was born in London in 1955 and studied painting at Chelsea School of Art and the Slade School of Fine Art. Her work has been the subject of numerous individual and group exhibitions and is in the permanent collections of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and numerous others around the world.
