Gearon was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1963 and currently lives and works in Santa Monica, California. Her photographs figured prominently in the 2001 exhibition “I Am a Camera,” at the Saatchi Gallery in London, and she will be featured in an upcoming show at Yossi Milo Gallery in New York City in November 2006. She is the subject of the feature-length documentary The Mother Project, an official selection of the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival.
