Sein Name wurde in Deutschland zum Synonym für provokante Plakatkunst, das "Staeck-Plakat" zu einem Markenbegriff. Kaum ein Künstler der Nachkriegszeit hat wie Klaus Staeck auf die politische Kultur in Deutschland eingewirkt. Dabei hat er oft einfach 'nur' die Dinge auf den Punkt gebracht, durch griffige Formulierungen entlarvt und so das Nachdenken über Zusammenhänge in Kunst, Politik und Gesellschaft befördert. "Nichts ist erledigt" enthält eine umfassende Auswahl an Plakaten, Collagen, Objekten und Fotografien von Klaus Staeck. Das noch nie so breit im Zusammenhang vorgeführte Spektrum reicht von frühen Holzschnitten und Collagen über Plakat-Klassiker ("Deutsche Arbeiter! Die SPD will euch eure Villen im Tessin wegnehmen") bis zu jüngsten grafischen Blättern. Die Textbeiträger, unter ihnen langjährige Wegbegleiter, widmen sich verschiedenen Facetten von Staecks künstlerischem Werdegang und seiner heutigen Aktualität.
